What Tubs are Dubbed

By 9:42 AM

There are three main styles of bathtubs to remember. It's true, bathtubs come in quite a variation of shapes and sizes. Each impacts the feeling of a space differently. You have your Alcove bathtubs, your Drop-in bathtubs and your Clawfoots. If you are a bath enthusiast, then it's worth knowing what style is your favorite!

1.  Alcove Bathtub

This tub is enclosed by three walls or surfaces. It's often seen as a bath/shower combination, ideal for children. On it's own, however, it can be extremely stylish. It has an excellent finished look to it as it must be built in to a bathroom or have the exact measurements to fit. Having surfaces surrounding is an additional benefit for storing towels, decorations or just a place to set your drink.

2.  Drop-In Bathtub

This glamorous tub is perfect for large bathrooms as it takes up a lot of space. It makes the room feel open and free-flowing by not having it enclosed, while also giving you lots of flexibility to your bathroom's design. They can be quite deep, hence the name "Drop-in".

3.  Clawfoots

Clawfoots are another form of free-standing tubs, but what makes them extra stylish are its pair of feet. They add a vintage, classic look and have a sense of antiquity about them. They are that unexpected touch that really gives a bathroom its wow-factor.
